My Decorated Cake and Cupcakes

Oh my.. I just realized that I haven’t update my blog for more than a month. So sorry for my laziness these days. I’m trying to gain my bento power again, hopefully it will rise again soon.

Today, I will post my other hobby beside cooking and making bento… Do you know what is it? Yes..It is baking and decorating the cake. ^.^

Sometimes I received order for customized cakes and cupcakes from my friends, I’m not a pro yet but I love to learn and receive new challenges .

So..here are some of my cake works recently.. Thanks for my friends who already trust me to make the cakes. 

Come Back Bento - Manny The Red Dog

Hello again! As I said in my post before, I miss to do a charaben bento, so today I managed to make one of it. Yippie… Today’s theme is a dog, a red dog. My daughter named it Manny and I just know from her  teacher’s  that recently she mentioned Manny the dog. 

Last Sunday, I got order to make Elmo Cupcakes from my friend. This is my first time to make Elmo cupcakes and I really enjoy to make him. :D

Elmo's Faces

Yesterday, Elaine told me that she wanted to eat Elmo for her lunch today. Wkwkwk.. I'm glad she said that, so it is easier for me to prepare her lunch, because sometimes i ran out of idea.

Last night, Elaine's teacher told me that Elaine is much better in the class after Christmas holiday because she could do more exercise in the class and her concentration is longer than usual.  Is it because I asked her to do some exercise for 20-30 minutes per day during the holiday? I think my holiday activities is really effective and hopefully she will maintain and improving her concentration and skill. :)

During the holiday, Elaine and i made Milo Doggies Cookies. I help her to shape the dog and Elaine put the facial detail such as ears, nose, eyes. It was really fun! I think we have to do that again someday.

 

Melting Elmo

 

Well...actually, i made this bento to celebrate my birthday yesterday..xixixi..Because the weather is too hot, the cheese that i used for Elmo's eyes were melted. I was supposed to change it, but i was in a hurry to pick up Elaine from her school..so, sorry for the eyes, Elmo... :D 

We went to a steak house yesterday just to have a simple family birthday celebration. :)

Elmo is Here..

Elaine watched her favorite dvd "Sesame Street Kid's Favorite Song 2" yesterday, she sang very well and she remembered some of the dialogue too. She has fallen in love with Elmo since she was 6 months old, until now Elmo has become one of her best friend.
