Rilakkuma and Kiiritoiri Bento

Today's Bento is my Come Back Bento in 2014. Hopefully the spirit of Bento-ing will always stay with me. ^.^

Rilakkuma and Kiiritoiri Bento is my daughter's request, so thanks for the idea. The Rilakkuma made from plain rice mixed with sweet soy sauce and I hand mould it. The details for the face is seaweed and cheese. The cute little bird, Kiiritoiri made from Tamagoyaki and the details for the face is seaweed and carrot for the beak. Inside the box are chicken teriyaki, kani salad, blanch broccoli, zucchini, and pink fish sausage as a flowers.

I seldom to make bento nowadays, so it took longer time for me to make it. I forgot which cutter and puncher I should use. But the result is Ok for me and my daughter loves it when she found out. I'm a happy mom!

Dancing Birdie

I tried to make a bird from quail egg and it turns out well, I copied the birdie from kaerenmama book that i bought last week. I love her book because it is full color and there are brief tutorial inside it, also there are free puncher, cutter, and food picks. I use the puncher here as the face expression and the feet. Cute isn't it?

Inside the box: rice, quail egg, chicken and shrimp roll, carrot, green peas, broccoli, flower egg.

Here is the kaerenmama's book that mentioned above. :)

Hello, Bird..

Elaine gave me idea to make her bento lunch today. When we were walking on the way to her school, she said:"Mama, it's a bird's sound. Cuit..cuit.." and after a while she said:"Mama, i love the bird's sound". She gives me lots of idea recently and i'm thankful for that. So this morning, i made bird bento lunch for her and ishe smiled when she saw it. :)

Inside the box: rice, cheese, stir fry vegetables, fish and tofu in black bean sauce.
