Dora The Explorer

Dora is one of Elaine's favorite character beside Hello Kitty, Barney and Elmo. It's been a while to do 'carving' things, so it took me almost 1 hour to finish this. At first i really want to give up on it, but suddenly i imagine Elaine's face when she see her lunch, she must be smiling when she look at it. My imagination is right, she smiled when she saw this. ^o^

My Melody

My friend asked me to make My Melody and Little Twin Star for her, so today i decided to make My Melody first. I really love My Melody and Little Twin Star when i was a kid, even i saved my pocket money to buy the wallet. :)

Well, back to bento...The one who enjoyed the My Melody lunch was Elaine, because my friend is in Indonesia. Hopefully she will like her virtual bento lunch today. ^o^

I used natural food coloring for the pink color, so it is safe to be eaten by Elaine. Inside the box are salmon teriyaki, blanched broccoli, corn, cauliflower, steamed chicken and carrot satay. :)

There is a giveaway from Scrumptious Bento, you should check her blog about the giveaway!

Smiling Doraemon

Elaine really like to sing Indonesian version of Doraemon's soundtrack recently and i'm the one who actually introduce it to her. One day i sing it to her and she could follow some of the lyrics. In a couple of days, she could sing a whole song and sometimes we sing together in the bathroom. ^.^

This is the Indonesian version of Doraemon Soundtrack.

Elaine's Baby Elephant

About 3 days ago, me and my husband asked this question to Elaine:

Mama  : "Elaine, do you want baby brother?"
Elaine   : " No, mama..."
Papa    : " Do you want baby sister?"
Elaine   : "No, papa... Baby Elephant!"

We just laughed at that that time, including Elaine. In order to remember that moment, i made her own baby elephant and she smiled happily when she saw her lunch. :)

Picnic Time...Yeayyyy...

It's summer time, so it's the right time to have a picnic. :D

I couldn't find any lettuce in the market last Saturday, so i used plastic lettuce barran in today's bento. The lettuce barran really helps if we don't have any fresh lettuce stock in the fridge. ^o^

I will post this in Shannon's blog What's for lunch Wednesday. There are many cute bento post there.

Have a nice day...

Couple Onigiri

Today's bento was inspired by Akinoichigo's latest bento book. I love her books because it contains clear pictures, cute bentos and clear tutorial.

Here is Akinoichigo's latest bento book.

There are many characters bento inside it and tutorial to make garnish from sausages, tamagoyaki, eggsheet and ham.  It also including tutorial  to make various onigiri and fancy bread. In the end of the book, there  are many patterns that we could trace it and apply it on cheese, ham and eggsheet.
