Owl Bento

Hello, how are you? Today it's so hard for me to wake up early, blame it on the long weekend I had. lol.

Today I make Owl Bento. The brown owl made from rice mixed with Indonesian sweet soy sauce. My daughter loves it very much, she usually eats it with sunny side up egg. The rest of dishes are bread crumb cream dory, flower egg ( must have item in the lunch box ), blanched broccoli, and baby corn. The owl's face detail are cheese and nori.

Have a nice day, everyone!

Koala and Racoon Bento

It's weekend already..Yeayy... I always happy when it comes to weekend, because I can relax and have more 'Me' time .

Today I'll post what I made today and yesterday. Today I make super simple koala bento for my daughter's lunch. I used boiled egg shaper to make the heart egg, cute isn't it? It comes with 4 shapes, but too bad I only have 3 shapes ( diamond, flower, and heart ). Instead of star, I have double heart.

This is yesterday's bento. Yesterday I made Racoon, but some of my friends said it is Agent OSO. hihihi...

Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Happy Family

Today's bento was requested by my daughter herself. Last night while we were watching TV, she asked me to make her white mommy chicken and yellow cute chicks for her lunch today. She told me to put boiled egg yolk for the yellow chicks. Gene doesn't lie, right? I think she will become an excellent bento artist in the future!

Rilakkuma is Here...

This bento was inspired by a Rilakkuma stuffed toy that I saw in one of the online shop here. First time I saw it, I fell in love with the cuteness of it, so I told myself to make the Rilakkuma as a bento.

Here is my other Rilakkuma bento, this time I used rice molder which is goes with the cutter and puncher. It's so handy!

Here is the molder set that I used for the picture above.  You can find the details and buy it in Bento USA .

Have a nice weekend, everyone! See you on the next posts..

Bunny Parade

Hello, my friends! How are you?

Finally I can update my blog again after six months hiatus from bento-ing and blogging. I'm so happy I can be here again. I'm starting to do bento again for my daughter since June 2014 because she needs to bring snack and lunch box to her school. At first my hands was stiff, I forgot all the steps and bento tools that I have. Hehe.. But now, I'm starting to get used to them again and hopefully my hands and skill will get better and better again. I was so nervous on the first day making bento again, but I was happy when I found out that my daughter loves it and finished her snack.

I'm still struggling with the quality of my bento pictures because I took it around 5am and I'm doing it inside my kitchen with minimum lighting. Usually I use natural lighting for my pictures, so now I have to think ways to produce a good pictures with artificial lighting. So, please bear with me with the not so good pictures, because I'm still learning how to do photography with artificial lighting.

Well, here are my other Bunny Bento that I made previously. Have a nice day, friends!

Have an Oink Day!

I made this pancake for my daughter's after school snack time. She was surprised when she saw it.

I used pancake mix to make the pancake. The eyes are raisins and the tail I used chocolate spread. Simple yet cute!

Rilakkuma and Kiiritoiri Bento

Today's Bento is my Come Back Bento in 2014. Hopefully the spirit of Bento-ing will always stay with me. ^.^

Rilakkuma and Kiiritoiri Bento is my daughter's request, so thanks for the idea. The Rilakkuma made from plain rice mixed with sweet soy sauce and I hand mould it. The details for the face is seaweed and cheese. The cute little bird, Kiiritoiri made from Tamagoyaki and the details for the face is seaweed and carrot for the beak. Inside the box are chicken teriyaki, kani salad, blanch broccoli, zucchini, and pink fish sausage as a flowers.

I seldom to make bento nowadays, so it took longer time for me to make it. I forgot which cutter and puncher I should use. But the result is Ok for me and my daughter loves it when she found out. I'm a happy mom!
