Eeks... Bats Attack

Halloween is just around the corner, so let's express our Halloween mood for the next 4 days. :)

Now, It's Bat's time to show off their cuteness instead of the scariness. Lol.

Inside the box:  rice covered with eggsheet, mun tofu, stir fry pechay, boiled carrot. The bats are made from nori and i put cheese underneath it. The Jack O Lantern on the top is inspired from latest Kaerenmama's book, it is made from steamed kabocha.

Boo!

Today bento is a really fast one, because i use cutter to make the ghost, pumpkin, and the letters. I bought the cutter around 3 months ago when there was a sale in the craft store, there were many cute cutter at that time, but i tried to refrain myself for buying them.

Inside the box are Yamien manis ( Indonesian Sweet Noodle ), wonton, boiled pechay and carrot.

Noodle is one of Elaine's favorite food, so she could finish it in no time. :)

Jack O Lantern Kitty

 

It's been a busy day lately, so i haven't updated my blog for one week. Fiuhhh...Finally i can post something here today.

I came up with the Hello Kitty using Jack O Lantern Costume, because i cook shu mai and there is left over grated carrot. So i just mixed warm rice and steamed grated carrot to make the orange color.

Did you notice something weird with the pumpkin costume? hihihi.. I forgot to put the nose! I just realize it when i take the small lantern for the decoration, but i didn't have time to fix it because i have to pick up Elaine from school. Sorry about that, pumpkin.. ;)

Anniversary Cupcakes Order

This is my 3rd order for my baking hobbies. The one who placed the order is one of  Elaine's teacher at school, she ordered cupcakes for her 9th anniversary celebration and  the theme is a long distance kisses  ( That's why i put additional kisses lips in the figurine. hihihi ) .It is my first time to make woman figurine from gum paste and it took me very long hour to make it, hopefully next time will be faster and better. ;)

I'm really grateful for every cupcake orders that i've received because they motivated me to do better, faster and the very important thing is that my works met customer expectation. So..hopefully this one will also satisfied my customer expectation. :)

Elaine's Socks

 

Almost a week Elaine doesn't want to wear her socks or if wear them, at school she will take them off. I'm concern about this, because she has allergic to cold and the school use air conditioner. After school, i always find her feet cold and sometimes she is sneezing when came back home. I already told her to wear it, but she keeps on refusing. Well, hopefully after seeing today's bento, she will be wearing her socks again tomorrow. ;)

Happy World's Teacher Day

Happy World's Teacher Day for all the teachers in the world. Thank you so much for your dedication in order to make a person to become a real person. I still remember that i'm one of the 'active' kids in class, and many times i skipped some classes in high school and went to gym instead of studying. :D

Well, yesterday i made some 'gift' for Elaine's teachers at school as sign of my appreciation for them. Not a big thing, but it is made from the heart with lots of love.

 

All is edible, except the box of course. hihihi.. The cake is chocolate chip cupcakes, the figurine is made from gum paste and i hand mold them all.  It is really fun to do this, and the one who is excited about the cake is Elaine..she couldn't stop looking at them. :)

Ice Cream Wanna Be

 

Glad to be back again for almost three weeks not updating my blog. Last two weeks, we went 'home' to Indonesia. It was a happy moment for us, because we met our family, relatives and friends. Actually, 2 weeks is not enough for us but we still grateful for it.

Today bento was inspired from yesterday's tragedy. hehe... My husband bought ice cream yesterday and it was supposed to be shared with Elaine. When he tried to fed Elaine, she grab the ice cream and ran away with it. So you could imagine what she did next, right? Well, when we tried to get near her, she kept on running away.
